The safety system of the ULVT, ULCT, TLVT, TLCT and EU2K series of light curtains is based on the principle of interrupting the light beam by a finger, limb or person to prevent dangerous contact and avoid potentially fatal consequences. The complete set consists of two components - a transmitter and a receiver. These sets can be supplemented with mirrors that reflect and transmit the transmitted beams. The difference is the ULVT500/2R and ULVT1200/4R type apertures, where the basic set consists of a transmitter with a receiver and mirrors on the other side.

Thanks to the modular design, it is possible to choose the height of the protective field. The height of the protective fields of the screens range from 100 mm to 1900 mm. In each length it is possible to choose the resolution (14-30-100-200-300-400-500 mm) and thus determine the amount of beams. In total, the number of beams varies from 13 to 247, depending on the length of the protective field. However, each resolution changes the property of the optimal length of the aperture. The maximum beam range for these apertures is up to 60 m. According to the design length, the reaction time of the aperture at the shortest distance also varies.
