LIMIT SWITCHES

Jola Spezialschalter's level sensing limit switches are sensing and control devices for installations in harsh environments.

The preferred applications for these switches are machine control, valve control, position indicator, pump safety shutdown and other factory automation applications.

The switching element is a potential-free ball microswitch and a gold-plated contact, as in float switches. A characteristic feature is that this contact can reliably switch even the smallest voltages and currents after long periods of downtime. An unfavourable characteristic is that the layer can burn out after a single overload or the gold layer can be distorted or destroyed during extremely frequent switching.

Installation must be made through a prepared through-hole installation. Through this hole, the switch is mounted on a horizontal shaft that allows a maximum rotation of ± 180°. Rotation of the shaft causes switching.  Once the limit switch is set on the shaft, the screws located in the inner part of the switch body must be secured.

Jola limit switches are particularly suitable where the use of a conventional limit switch is questionable or unsuitable due to difficult working conditions, e.g. in wet or dirty environments.
